No. 5 Texas begins its 2026 season today, hosting Texas State at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin in this in-state rivalry tilt. The Longhorns enter the year ranked among the nation’s top teams after closing last season with wins over Texas A&M and Michigan, while Texas State will look to carry momentum from a strong finish to its 2025 campaign that included a bowl victory and wins in four of its final five games. The kick is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. PT/3:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. MST) on Saturday, September 5, and is broadcast on ESPN and is streaming live on ESPN Unlimited.
