Every summer, hospitals having blood supplies on hand is critical during the 100 deadliest days between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During this time, more folks are taking vacations and not donating blood as frequently, and simultaneously hospitals tend to see an uptick in traumas and emergencies with more people adventuring and road tripping where more accidents happen.

Help us keep the shelves stocked by donating at our upcoming City of Tualatin blood drive at the Tualatin Police Department. Plus, donors at this drive who are 18+ and complete a post-donation only entry form at www.bloodworksnw.org/win have a chance to win a getaway to Hawaii!

Tomorrow, we will be hosting a Day of Volunteerism and an opportunity for students to earn a few hours of community service. Different groups have signed up to make improvements around the campus or support some clean up in the Marshfield Pioneer Cemetery. This a great opportuntiy for students working towards an Honors Diploma, seniors needing make-up community service hours, or adding community service to your activities chart. Or maybe you just want to give back and make a difference to your school community. All students are welcomed and encouraged to attend. We will start directly after school. Hope to see you there.
