Clinician Sarah Scafani (left) and Officer Rachel McDonald (center), members of the Portland Police Bureau’s Behavioral Health Unit, visit in April with Gregory Martin, a man the unit helped to secure housing and mental health treatment.

At the beginning of each shift, Officer Rachel McDonald and social worker Sarah Scafani go over the list of people they need to find.
