Description

Families from St. Agatha's Catholic School and community members in Sellwood raised $1,600 for Basic Rights Oregon at a lemonade stand last weekend. Parents at the school say they are seeking a way forward after the priest that oversees the school informed a same-sex couple that their children were no longer welcome to enroll there.

Kid-powered lemonade stands are summer fixtures in Portland, frequented by enough passing cyclists, pedestrians and neighbors to at least recoup the costs of lemons and sugar.
