Boothby, a sawyer, and his wife, Jennie, who built the original house in 1888-89 and then opened their home to paying guests.The William Jennings Bryan Room was name after the famous statesman who stayed at the hotel several times between 1912 and 1923.The Dewey Hill Room was named after a handyman at the hotel from 1916 to 1978 and a theThe Frances Pearson Room has a beadboard ceiling, an antique brass four post queen bed with a handmade quilt.The Record Suite was named after Pete and Carol Record who transformed the old hotel in the late 1980s into a warm and charming refuge from city life. The new owners of the Prospect Hotel, restaurant and event space in southern Oregon plan to continue longstanding traditions and introduce themed experiences, said real estate broker Matt Cook, who led the sale transaction.
