The U.S. has recorded over 2,900 measles cases in 2026, surpassing all of 2025, with 94% of cases linked to outbreaks and unvaccinated individuals.

The U.S. has confirmed 2,903 measles cases this year, surging past the 2,289 logged for all of 2025 — and there are still three more months of 2026 left to go.

🐾 This week at Coos Bay–North Bend Rotary, we had some very special four-legged guests! 🐾 A huge thank you to Rex and Deb Campbell, owners of Campbell K-9 University and founders of their nonprofit, Campbell Safe Haven Rescue & Rehabilitation, for joining us at Tuesday’s Rotary meeting! Rex and Deb shared some helpful dog-training tips, introduced us to a couple of their incredible dogs and told us more about the work their nonprofit is doing to rescue, rehabilitate and help local dogs in need right here in our community. 🐕💙 We are so thankful for people like Rex and Deb who dedicate their time, knowledge and hearts to making our community a better place ~ for both people and their pets. Thank you for spending your afternoon with us and sharing your mission! ✨ Interested in Rotary? Come check us out! We have some awesome program speakers scheduled throughout the year, covering local businesses, nonprofits, community projects and other interesting topics happening right here in our area.
