At 11:06 a.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service released a high wind warning valid from 10 p.m. until Wednesday 1 p.m. for South Central Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades.
"Southeast winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75 mph expected. 1 to 4 inches of snow expected above 5000 feet," describes the weather service. "Additional wind and snow hazards are possible Wednesday night into Christmas Day."
