On Friday at 9 p.m. a high surf warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Sunday 10 p.m. until Monday 10 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.
"Dangerously large breaking waves of 25 to 33 feet," explains the weather service. "Hazardous conditions this weekend will reach a peak during Saturday afternoon and evening. Conditions are expected to become more hazardous late Sunday night through Monday evening due to a strong, building, long period swell. The highest surf is expected Monday morning into Monday afternoon. Conditions are expected to slowly improve on Tuesday."
