Andy Goebel (left), the executive director of Sunstone Way, helps set up a pod before the opening of Multnomah Safe Rest Village in 2022. Sunstone Way, which now operates six other shelters, will close on July 1.

Sunstone Way, a Portland-based homeless services nonprofit, will cease to operate its six shelters with about 290 beds on July 1, due to financial difficulties.
