It’s been six years since Heppner last played for a football state title. And on Saturday in the Class 2A football semifinals, the Mustangs left nothing to chance.

Heppner blew ahead of St. Paul for a 56-16 victory at Summit High School, advancing to next week’s state championship game against Lost River.
