Substance misuse and mental health conditions continue to affect communities across the United States. Community members play an important role in prevention by supporting one another, helping people access resources before challenges worsen, setting positive examples, and promoting healthy choices. The combined efforts of individuals, families, organizations, and coalitions contribute to a stronger movement of prevention and care. This proclamation was introduced and adopted at the April 27, 2026 City Council Meeting.
