On Monday at 12:02 p.m. the National Weather Service released a heat advisory valid for Tuesday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Grande Ronde Valley, Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon, John Day Basin and Central Oregon.
The weather service adds, “Hot conditions with temperatures up to 97 degrees expected. This will pose a moderate to major risk of heat-related illness.”
