On Saturday at 1:54 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory in effect until Monday at 8 p.m. for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon, Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon and Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.
"Hot conditions with temperatures around 100 degrees expected. This will pose a moderate to major risk of heat-related illness," comments the weather service. "Temperatures are expected to peak on Sunday. Afternoon highs may reach as high as 105 degrees across the lower Columbia Basin."
