COVID-19 activity is beginning to increase in parts of the United States as health experts monitor what has become a familiar seasonal pattern, though overall virus levels remain relatively low nationwide, The Huffington Post said. Recent wastewater surveillance data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates coronavirus activity is rising in several states, particularly in parts of the South and West, while most of the country continues to report minimal viral activity, Newsweek reported.
