Description
Move over Spruce Goose. There’s another aeronautic attraction coming to Oregon and it will land on the North Coast at the Tillamook Air Museum. Howard Hughes’ Spruce Goose, the World’s largest wing span,” sits in the Evergreen Museum at McMinnville. The Tillamook Air Museum announced last week that it has signed a long-term loan with the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida to permanently display a combat-tested fighter jet, an AV-8B Harrier II. The jet will be flown directly from the U.S. Navy Test Facility in California’s Mojave Desert August 4th, to Tillamook. It will undergo a demilitarization in preparation of the permanent display.
