Our office is closed in observance of Juneteenth.
Today we honor freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice. Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865βthe day the last enslaved Black Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, marking the true end of slavery in the United States.
Join the celebration at the free, family-friendly Juneteenth event from 1-6 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 at Linn-Benton Community College, hosted by Linn Benton NAACP. Donβt miss keynote speaker Michael A. Johnson at 1:30 p.m.βan inspiring education leader dedicated to advancing Black student success.
