Description

Gov. Tina Kotek signaled on Monday that the conversation about funding wildfire long-term is likely to spill over into future legislative sessions. She asked lawmakers for as much one-time money as she can get to fund fire prevention and suppression for the current biennium.

Gov. Tina Kotek asked lawmakers Wednesday to repeal the controversial transportation funding package they passed along party lines with her support last fall, while calling on legislators to take “emergency action” to prevent layoffs at the state transportation agency.
