CFPA release - Gold Mountain Creek Fire, 15 miles East of Powers, OR 8/11/26: CFPA resources responded to a report of fire in the Gold Mountain Creek area East of Powers early this morning. The fire is estimated to be 15-20 acres, firefighters are actively engaged with containment lines 100% around the fire. The topography and fuels are creating a challenge, however resources are making steady progress. Fire crews will be actively engaged throughout the day and a night shift has been ordered. Resources assigned to day shift: 4- Type 6 engines; 2- Type 4 engines; 2-CFPA tenders; CFPA & DFPA hand crews; 1-Type 2 Hand crew. As well as multiple aircraft and Industry fire resources. No homes are currently threatened, but the situation is being constantly monitored. The fire is currently under investigation.
