GLIDE, Ore. - The Sheriff’s Office has determined that the recent threat directed at Glide High School is not credible.  
  
On Monday, November 17, 2025, deputies were made aware of a post circulating on social media that appeared to make specific threats toward Glide High School. Deputies worked closely with school officials to ensure the safety of students and staff while the matter was investigated.  
  
As part of the investigation, deputies contacted an individual who was initially believed to be responsible for the post. After conducting interviews and reviewing available investigative resources, deputies confirmed that the individual did not make the threat and does not pose a danger to the school. Deputies are continuing to investigate the matter as a hoax set up by another student to implicate the alleged individual.  
  
Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased law enforcement presence on campus today, and school will remain in session. The Sheriff’s Office continues to coordinate with school officials. At this time, no credible threat exists to Glide High School.  
  
Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is encouraged to contact the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office at (541) 440-4471.
