Reedsport, OR - On October 5, 2022, Lower Umpqua Hospital District released a statement regarding an alleged mishandling of patient cash payments. The District immediately placed the employee identified on leave while conducting the initial investigation. The District also immediately notified Law Enforcement of the alleged criminal activities.

On October 5, 2023, the employee identified in this matter was officially charged. As of March 4, 2025, the District accepted a civil compromise agreement with the Defendant whom we can now identify as Tammy June Bishop.
