The National Weather Service released a flash flood watch at 10:55 a.m. on Thursday valid between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. for Grande Ronde Valley, Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon, John Day Basin, Ochoco-John Day Highlands, East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades and Central Oregon as well as Wallowa County.
The weather service comments, "Flash flooding and debris flows caused by excessive rainfall are possible over the numerous burn scar."
