A lawyer for Billy Williams, who was county counsel until Oct. 13, told the county in a letter earlier this month that Williams plans to sue over his dismissal.

Clackamas County’s former lead lawyer, who was fired earlier this month by the board of commissioners, says an internal investigation into the hiring of a commissioner’s father glossed over allegations that staff felt “perceived pressure” to make the hire.
