Description

Coos Forest Protective Association conducted a large-scale simulation training on Coos County forest land. Personnel from all CFPA Units participated, for a total of 38 personnel on scene.  Firefighters were able to practice skills and extend their knowledge in the following areas:  Setting up progressive hose lays; Hand-line construction; Conducting bucket work and sling loads with a type 3 helicopter; Simulation of an IWI (Incident Within an Incident) medical event.  Trainings like these are crucial for firefighter skill development, exposure to real-time situations, practicing safe techniques and learning new skills.
