Description

The scheme tries to convince targets that their phone number has been used in international phone scams and that the target is facing jail time if they don't pay a security deposit.

The Federal Trade Commission is warning Americans of a new scheme that threatens an arrest or for your phone to be turned off. However, the threats and the “official” on the other side of the call are fake.
