Description

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management in a memo on Sept. 21, 2026, says agencies can now approve bonuses of more than $10,000 and up to $25,000 for outstanding employees, without recourse to it.

Federal agencies previously had to obtain approval from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to grant employees individual cash and performance awards of more than $10,000 and up to $25,000.
