No new information has been released by CBPD regarding the fatal accident, Saturday, August 30th, on North Bayshore Drive and Kingwood.  The four-lane highway was closed during the investigation into the accident with a detour up on Koos Bay Blvd.  A few days later, investigators again closed the route following the Labor Day Weekend to continue their investigation.  Police have not released any information other than the name of the "Operators" on their police logs.  Here's the latest information from Coos Bay's Public Information Officer as of Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025 - "Thank you for checking in. At this time, per my administration, we will not be releasing any information on that case. I will let you know if that changes."
