Description

Marlen, right, a peer trainer for the BASTA Coalition of Washington, and Isabel Reyes-Paz, the coalition’s director, lead trainings primarily for Mexican immigrant women about sexual harassment of farmworkers in the Yakima Valley, an agricultural region in Central Washington.

Marlen, a 35-year-old mother from Mexico, knows what farmworkers like her are supposed to do if they’re sexually harassed on the job: Tell the harasser to stop, document it, then report it to company leadership.
