Description
🌟 Exciting things happening for students and our community’s future workforce — we’re proud to cheer this on!
Yep, we’re starting a new Diesel Mechanic Tech program in a garage! 19 days and counting until SWOCC greets its first class of students.
Many businesses are donating equipment for this first year in a temporary lab. Thanks Peterson Cat for diesel motors, Coos Bay Toyota, Cheyne Truck & Marine and John Adamek, Instructor Terry Cheyne and Sherrie, Gold Coast Trucking and Southport Lumber for welding benches and giving your time.
SWOCC Foundation and a private donor now are challenging the community to help us build a permanent lab. We will match cash donations dollar-for-dollar up to $200,000 for construction of the shop. Help us train tomorrow’s mechanics.
To learn more contact the SWOCC Foundation at 541-888-7211, [email protected].
