Ex-Portland cop sentenced for strangling girlfriend

Jimmy Lee Pryce Jr., a 27-year veteran of the Portland Police Bureau, was arrested in November after prosecutors said he pushed the woman to the ground during a confrontation, dragged her across the floor and later choked her while pinning her down with this knee.

A former Portland police officer who strangled and assaulted his onetime girlfriend will serve 60 days behind bars, authorities said.
