Former Gladstone police sergeant Blake Edward Benton stands during his trial in Clackamas County Circuit Court on Oct. 14, 2016. Benton was sentenced Wednesday; Circuit Judge Ulanda Watkins prohibited the media from photographing Benton during the proceeding.

Once more, a former Gladstone police sergeant walked into a Clackamas County courtroom to hear his punishment for the brutal killing of his wife in her beauty shop 15 years ago.
