By the time this footage was captured, officers had already located the second suspect hiding inside a rooftop air conditioning unit. Hillsboro Fire arrived with a ladder truck to help safely bring him down. Police officers stayed in position during the descent to ensure everyone’s safety.

The suspect, Edgar Agustin Perez, 37, was wanted for a parole violation tied to a prior sexual assault. He was arrested without incident and charged with criminal trespass and failure to register as a sex offender.

This was the final phase of a coordinated response that began when a community member noticed open doors and called police instead of stepping in. That decision helped bring two wanted individuals into custody safely.
