Description
EMERGENCY EXERCISE: Local law enforcement in partnership with Lower Umpqua Hospital District will be conducting an active threat training, known as ALICE Training, on Wednesday, September 24th at Dunes Family Health Care.
There will be Police signs, reader boards and police tape at DFHC indicating that a training is taking place. DFHC will be CLOSED to the public during the exercise and not taking phone calls.
ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate and trains how to respond in an active threat situation that can help reduce injuries and save lives.
Due to the nature of this type of training we know that some of the activity you may see could be upsetting or cause concern, so we want our community members to be aware. Thank you for your continued support of local law enforcement and Lower Umpqua Hospital District.
These trainings are in cooperation with LUHD, and the purpose of these trainings is to continually familiarize Officers with facility layouts, train new staff, and to best prepare the District for active threat scenarios.
Thank you in advance for your support.
