**Eluding Vehicle Leads To An Arrest**
On 10/08/2024, around 2:30 pm, Chief Civil Deputy T. Hansen was negotiating through a controlled intersection of E 10th Street and N. Folsom Street in Coquille. As Deputy Hansen entered the intersection, a Toyota pickup failed to stop at the controlled intersection causing Deputy Hansen to quickly apply breaks to avoid a collision.
Deputy Hansen attempted to initiate a traffic stop of the Toyota, which failed to yield and increased it’s speed within the City of Coquille. Deputy Hansen requested assistance from Coquille Police with locating the Toyota, which was quickly located by the Officer. Deputy Hansen and Captain Sanborn responded to the location of where Coquille Police located the vehicle.
While on scene, Coquille Police received a report from a victim that identified the same Toyota had crashed into their fence. Subsequent the investigation, Teeghan H. Farley (18) was arrested for the requested charges of DUII, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer – by Vehicle, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering Another Person & Resisting Arrest.
