Benson High School, pictured above, was the most recent high school renovation to be completed as part of Portland Public Schools’ school modernization plan. PPS should trim design plans for the three schools on the next bond measure while ensuring that it will still deliver buildings that meet educational and community expectations, the editorial board writes.
