While Portlanders should be prepared for the possibility that Trump will follow through with threats to send National Guard troops to Portland, they should not let his bluster interrupt the ongoing work restoring the city.

It’s hard to know how serious President Donald Trump is about the possibility of sending National Guard troops to Portland to confront protesters and “wipe them out.”
