Legislators shouldn’t need but a few minutes to deal with the matter of state contributions to Oregon’s Future Farmers of America programs. The amount involved — about $1.1 million — is minuscule in comparison with a state budget measured in the tens of billions of dollars. The benefits, though, are anything but tiny.
