A wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 2:34 p.m. valid from Friday 10 p.m. until Saturday 10 p.m. for Eastern Curry County and Josephine County and Jackson County.
"Northeast winds 10 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected, except southeast winds from Ashland to Phoenix," adds the weather service. "Winds will first become gusty at exposed locations in the higher terrain on Friday night, then will be strongest across the area during Saturday afternoon and evening."
