Marshfield's coaching staff will be represented at this Summer's East-West Shrine Football game at Baker City. According to Rick Cooper, Pirate Coach John Lemmons was initially selected to help coach the West team; however, he had a conflict on the date of the July event. Instead, he asked if one of his assistants could take his place. James Snoddy will represent Marshfield on the sidelines in the benefit for the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Portland.
