Description
⚠️ DUII Arrest ⚠️
On 02/16/25, around 2:00 AM, Deputy Freerksen was patrolling the area of Bunker Hill in Coos Bay when he observed a Ford sedan following another vehicle too closely. Deputy Freerksen then observed the same Ford vehicle fail to signal when changing lanes and fail to signal prior to turning.
Deputy Freerksen conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of Edwards Road and Newport Lane, and the driver was identified as Skyler T. Sapp (22). Upon initial contact with Skyler, Deputy Freerksen observed his speech to be slurred and his eyes looked glossy and red, showing signs consistent with impairment. Skyler performed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST) and was subsequently arrested for DUII (Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants).
