🚨 DUI and Warrant Arrest Report 🚨 On November 29th, 2024, around 10:59 PM, Deputy Freerksen was patrolling the area of Bunkerhill in Coos Bay when a red 2012 Ford Focus drove past without required lighting near Edward’s Rd and HWY 241. A traffic stop was initiated near 6th St and D St in Eastside. The driver, 37-year-old Brian Veysey, was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant during a records check. During the encounter, Deputy Freerksen noted that Veysey’s speech was slurred, his eyes were glossy and red, and there was a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Veysey consented to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST). After completing the tests, he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and taken to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and lodged on the existing misdemeanor warrant.
