UO release - EUGENE, Ore. – Right-handed pitcher Kate Dahle (pronounced DAL-ee, like Dallas) is transferring to Oregon, coach Melyssa Lombardi announced Wednesday. In two seasons at BYU, Dahle struck out 154 in 178.1 innings. She was 14-12 with a 3.73 ERA in 62 games for the Cougars. She will be a junior in 2027. In the last season she pitched for BYU, 2025, Dahle was second on the team and 11th in the Big 12 with a 2.60 ERA. She was also fifth in the conference in strikeouts per seven innings pitched (6.6). She went 8-6 and struck out 86 batters in 91.2 innings as a sophomore. Dahle went 6-6 as a freshman in in 2024 with 68 strikeouts in 86.1 innings and led the Big 12 with four saves. She redshirted the 2026 season. "Kate is a competitor," said Lombardi. "She has great energy on the mound along with elite movement. She has the ability to induce a high percentage of ground balls which our defense will love to play behind. Her changeup tunnels very well and will be huge in disrupting the hitters' timing. I think she will be a great fit for Version 9." Dahle is the second player to transfer to Oregon from BYU this summer, joining All-American outfielder Ilove'a Brittingham. Like Brittingham, Dahle played club ball with current Duck junior Rylee McCoy for OC Batbusters.
