CCSO release - Sunday evening, Aug. 31, Deputy Francis conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Cape Arago HWY and Travis LN. During the stop, the driver was arrested for DWS-Misdemeanor. Deputy Francis suspected narcotics activity during her investigation and requested assistance from K9 Poe. K9 Poe had a positive alert on the vehicle, which lead to the seizure and search warrant application of the vehicle. Deputy Francis served the search warrant and located: 3 g Methamphetamine; (10) Oxycodone Pills; Several items of drug paraphernalia; Several suspected stolen credit cards. Prior to the warrant being executed, the suspect was transported to the jail for DWS-Misdemeanor and Unlawful Possession of Meth. The suspect will also referred for the additional charges of Unlawful Possession of Hydrocodone and (5) counts of Identity Theft.
