BENTON COUNTY, Ore. (18 September 2026) – Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division is asking for the public’s help to identify the person(s) responsible for the unlawful shooting of a doe deer near Monroe in Benton County. At approximately 3:00 a.m. on September 13, 2026, a doe deer was shot on private property near Alpine Road and Foster Road. The deer was left to waste. The suspect(s) are believed to have been traveling in a full-size, loud pickup truck. After the deer was shot, the vehicle was observed traveling eastbound on Alpine Road. During the investigation, troopers recovered a .30-30 caliber shell casing from the roadway near the scene. OSP Fish and Wildlife is asking anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, or who may have information regarding the vehicle or person(s) involved, to contact the Turn In Poachers (TIP) hotline at 1-800-452-7888 or call *OSP (*677) from a mobile phone.
