Description

Wanza noodles, a specialty of Chongqing, are similar to dandan noodles, only with the addition of a slurry of chickpea-like yellow peas.

Editor’s note: With Dumpling Week fast approaching (Feb. 7-15), we’re putting a spotlight on local dumpling restaurants old and new, including this six-month-old Northwest Portland restaurant, where our critic found the most memorable dish wasn’t dumplings at all.
