Description

OHSU researchers developed a microchip that pulls tumor‑related DNA and proteins from a small blood sample. The technology uses a mild electrical charge to isolate cancer signals in about 10 minutes, offering a potential alternative to invasive pancreatic biopsies, which can carry risks and still miss some cancers.

Scientists at Oregon Health & Science University say they are getting closer to a simple blood test that could help doctors detect pancreatic cancer earlier, without putting patients through invasive biopsies.
