DIFFERENT UNIFORMS, ONE MISSION: PROTECT CHILDREN  
  
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will be serving the community in a different way—by waiting tables at Abby’s Legendary Pizza on Stephens Street in Roseburg.  
  
This annual Challenge of the Heroes event brings together local first responders in a friendly competition to raise funds for the Mercy Foundation – UP2USNow Child Abuse Prevention Coalition. Guests can enjoy a meal at one of their favorite restaurants while being served by local heroes, with the goal of collecting tips and donations to support programs that protect and serve the children of Douglas County.  
  
Come out, enjoy great food, and help us make a difference.
