๐จ Deputy Responds to Menacing Incident in Powers: Transient Arrested After Threatening Couple ๐จ
On February 12, 2025, around 9:00 AM, Deputy S. Starr responded to a report of menacing in Powers. A couple reported that a transient was threatening them while they were outside their home.
Upon arrival, Deputy Starr discovered that the transient, Cameron Nightingale (41), had approached the woman while she was walking her dog, making aggressive gestures and comments. When her partner came outside to confront Nightingale, the situation escalated, and he threw a knife onto the ground.
After reviewing security footage, Deputy Starr confirmed the couple's account of the encounter. Nightingale was taken into custody for two counts of menacing and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon. Nightingale was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he remains in custody.
