🚨Deputy Freerksen Arrests Driver for DUII After Wrong-Way Driving in Coos Bay🚨
On April 11, 2025, at approximately 8:30 PM, Deputy Freerksen was patrolling the Bunker Hill area of Coos Bay when he observed a blue Toyota Rav4 driving the wrong way on Edwards Rd. A traffic stop was conducted in the 7-11 parking lot, and the driver was identified as Kristyn Standon (34).
During the stop, Deputy Freerksen noted signs of impairment, including slurred speech, glossy and red eyes, and the odor of alcohol. Standon attempted to mask the alcohol scent by chewing gum. She consented to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), and based on the results, she was arrested and transported to the Coos Bay Police Department for further testing. Her BAC was determined, and she was issued a criminal citation for DUII.
