On Thursday at 12:09 a.m. a dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 10 a.m. for Central Douglas County.
"Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog," says the weather service. "Strong valley inversions, very shallow mixing layers of less than 1000 feet, and calm winds are expected throughout the advisory time, especially during the overnight and morning hours. A weak front Thursday night into Friday may allow for a brief period of improved mixing and particulate dispersion."
