A small number of pro-Trump counterprotesters shout at demonstrators outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in South Portland on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, sparking occasional yelling matches. Hundreds of protesters had gathered at the site for an evening rally that capped a day of demonstrations across the city.

Democrats appear to have an early advantage over Republicans with the 2026 midterm election just over nine months away.
